40 Days for Life

Why are we spending time praying at Planned Parenthood?

Because we’re facing the greatest injustice of our generation, which is abortion. It’s the leading cause of death in our world. 54 million children made in the image and likeness of God have died in America since the 1973

Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision, legalizing abortion through all 9 months of pregnancy. It’s also destroyed lives of women, men, and families; all in the supposed name of choice. Interestingly, these women had their child taken from within them, not necessarily because they’re pro-choice, but because they felt they had no other choice.

Planned Parenthood aborted 329,445 children last year in America. All the while, receiving $487.4 million of our taxpayers funds… That’s nearly $100 million more than the previous year. Planned Parenthood commits 1 out of 4 abortions in America.

Since it’s very much a local problem, 40 Days for Life has become the local solution. In 5 years, 40 Days for Life accounts for

  • 5,928 babies confirmed saved
  • 24 abortion clinics closed
  • 69 Planned Parenthood Workers left their jobs.

Will you be part of our local effort to support this pro-life witness?

St. Theresa’s is taking Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, October 18th, 19th, and 20th to pray and witness at the local Urbandale Planned Parenthood. We will be in the back of church after mass to answer any questions and find a time that works for you.

Pray, participate, and persevere!
