Good News – Two More Planned Parenthood Locations Closing!

Planned Parenthood of the Heartland just announced that they will be closing TWO MORE Iowa locations. Spencer and Fort Madison will see the Iowa abortion giant leave their towns on March 15, 2013.

Last March, Planned Parenthood closed their abortion clinics in Storm Lake and Knoxville. Then, mere months later in July 2012, they closed their abortion clinics in Newton and the Family Practice Center on Army Post Road in Des Moines. That is SIX Iowa closings in a single year’s time! Hooray!

The main pro-life legislative focus is House File 173, which would outlaw “webcam” abortions in Iowa, as has been done in several other states. Your contacts with legislators will help determine whether they will move the bill forward. E-mail your Iowa legislators an already-prepared e-mail here

I encourage you to contact Iowa Right to Life at for more information on how to get a “Choose Life” license plate in Iowa. Each plate costs $25, or $50 for a personalized one. Only 135 more orders are needed to reach the minimum 500 which will permanently make these plates available throughout Iowa.

And check out all of our alerts by clicking “Take Action” at or on our Facebook page.

LeRoy Carhart, who specializes in late-term abortions, is under “serious criminal investigation” in Maryland for the abortion-related death of Jennifer Morbelli on February 7, 2013. Please pray for his soul and that he will finally be shut down for unsafe practices.

Creative Pro-Life Fundraiser Idea

A new option for pro-life fundraising was recently brought to my attention.  A product called “Humble Angel Honey” was specifically designed to help with pro-life fundraising efforts.  It’s a fun idea and something different if you’ve gotten into a fundraising rut – the Omaha-based organization offers angel-shaped containers filled with pure honey.
