Vision of Life:  InnerVision Healthcare’s Annual Banquet – June 5th

InnerVisions HealthCare is excited to announce their “Vision of Life: Innervisions HealthCare’s Annual Banquet” on June 5, 2014. The special guest speaker will be Typhanie Mahlstadt.

Typhanie walked into the clinic last summer, simply to pick up a Bucks for Baby t-shirt. She saw a scared young woman waiting for her appointment… and immediately, she was taken back 13 years ago to when she herself was a young woman facing an unplanned pregnancy. Typhanie knew immediately that God brought her to InnerVisions HealthCare for a reason.

Her story of hope in the midst of crisis, fear and uncertainty is like the story of the phoenix rising out of the ashes of despair to soar on the wings of hope! Typhanie’s family shares in her grace and joy and welcome you to hear their story.

News: Baby Abandoned in Dumpster
Rescued by Maintenance Man

This article is about the heroic action by a maintenance man in Texas who saved a newborn baby who was thrown away in a dumpster. In a way this story is horrifying, but mostly it is a beautiful story of a man who was paying attention and took the time to help. To see the article click HERE.

Pro-Life Movie “Gimme Shelter”

“Gimme Shelter” just came out in theaters in January and it looks powerful! It’s based on a true story about a young girl in a very difficult situation who finds herself pregnant. Through the intervention of several kind people she is able to find help and healing for her and her unborn baby.

With big name stars like Vanessa Hudgens, Brendan Fraser, and James Earl Jones this should be really interesting. See the trailer HERE.

AUL’s Women’s Protection Project –
Help Educate the Public & Change the Law

From American’s United for Life:

Since 2009, at least 89 abortion providers in at least 29 states have faced investigations, criminal charges, administrative complaints, and/or civil lawsuits related to the provision of abortion care or been cited for violating state laws governing the operation of abortion clinics. Help protect women and unborn children in every state!

The new Women’s Protection Project (WPP) from Americans United for Life is a bold plan to:

  • Dismantle Big Abortion’s rapacious business model through life-saving regulations.
  • Ensure that abortion’s harm to maternal health is a key consideration in the next abortion case before the Supreme Court.
  • Use the media to expose what’s really going on in our nation’s abortion clinics.

The Supreme Court’s primary rationale for affirming Roe v. Wade is the myth that abortion is good for women and beneficial to women’s health. Thanks to the tireless efforts of Big Abortion to cover up how abortion harms women physically and emotionally, millions of Americans still believe this myth.

The WPP is the only plan which directly attacks this “reliance interest” rationale. Through seven pieces of expertly crafted AUL model legislation, we will use the courts to demonstrate Big Abortion’s contempt for the women harmed in their quest for profit. Through an intensive nationwide campaign of social media and advertising, we will also expose the truth about abortion and create a groundswell of support for life-affirming, life-saving legislation.

Your gift to AUL now will help the WPP move forward as the legal “blueprint” for protecting women and their children from a largely unregulated, unrestricted, and unrepentant abortion industry. Can you help educate the public and change the law?

Learn more about how to help with the Women’s Protection Project HERE.

AUL’s Annual Pro-Life State Ranking – Iowa 39th

Americans United for Life ranks all the states in year in how well they are protecting life through legislation. Iowa ranks #39 this year (with #50 being the least protective). Something we need to keep working on.
